ENTRY CATEGORIES

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY CATEGORIES?

The TriGirl Triathlon offers the following individual categories: Age Group, Relay 2/3 person teams, Women In Uniform and Physically Challenged.

The Triple Dog Dare Triathlon Relay offers the following categories: Male, Female, Co-ed, Youth, Corporate Challenge, and First Responder/Military Challenge.

NOTE: Races will have a time trial start so you will be seeded based on the times you submitted and will be racing alongside all Age Groupers. There is NO GUARANTEE that you will be in same wave or placed with a family member or friend who also signed up to do the Race in the same Age Group Category

HOW ARE THE AGE GROUPS DETERMINED?

Each group within the Age Group Category is in 5-year intervals (14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, and so on)

WHO CAN ENTER IN THE ATHENA and CLYDESDALE CATEGORIES?

Pursuant to USAT Rules, women whose weight is150lbs or greater

Pursuant to USAT Rules, men whose weight is 200lbs or greater

WHO CAN ENTER IN THE UNIFORM, FIRST RESPONDER AND MILITARY CATEGORY?

Anyone employed or active as military, fire, police, government

DO I QUALIFY FOR THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED CATEGORY?

The rules for the Physically Challenged Category are sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Please click here for USA Triathlon Physically Challenged specifications.

WHO SHOULD ENTER AS A RELAY TEAM?

Athletes who want to split the 3 segments of the triathlon (swim, bike, run) with one or two other friends, family members, colleagues, etc.

Athletes who want to be eligible for Relay Team awards (the Top 3 Teams in each of the Relay Team categories will be awarded finisher medals) 

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT RELAY TEAM CATEGORIES?

Male, Female, Co-ed, Youth, Corporate Challenge, First Responder/Military Challenge and Physically Challenged.

DO YOU OFFER RELAY TEAM MATCH UPS?

No. All teams must find their own team members. 

NOTE: The only exception is for the physically challenged category. We will help find a partner if required, but we cannot guarantee you we will find one.

ENTRY FEES

WHAT ARE THE TRIATHLON ENTRY FEES?

Entry fees for Individual and Relay teams can be found on the event registration page. 

WHAT IS THE USA TRIATHLON ONE-DAY MEMBERSHIP FEE?

The USA Triathlon federation requires that each participant in a USAT sanctioned event, purchase a one-day $10 USAT membership. This membership triggers insurance to be in effect for each participant on Race Day. Please be sure to include $10 membership fee in total payment for Mailed and Faxed entries.

NOTE:   Each member of a Relay Team must pay the $10 fee. ($20 USAT membership fee for a two person Relay, $30 USAT membership fee for a three person Relay)

WHAT IF I AM AN ANNUAL USA TRIATHLON MEMBER?

If you are an annual USA Triathlon member and provide your member # on the entry form, you will not be charged. Annual members must present membership card during Race Materials Pick Up to prove membership and avoid charge.

ENTRY POLICIES

CAN I TRANSFER MY RACE NUMBER IF I CAN'T RACE?  CAN I REQUEST A REFUND IF I CAN'T RACE AFTER REGISTERING?

Entries are non-transferable and there are NO REFUNDS. There are no exceptions to this policy. You may not transfer your race number to another person.

WHY IS THE PACKET PICK UP MANDATORY? 

Participants are required to attend Packet Pick Up on the specified date. This is related to insurance liability mandates. 

Participant must present her photo ID, and, if appropriate, USA Triathlon annual membership card at time of Packet Pick-Up. Per USA Triathlon rules, each participant must pick up her own packet. NO EXCEPTIONS.

WHAT IF A RACE IS CANCELLED? 

Circumstances beyond the control of the Event Director (e.g. severe weather, changes in governmental policies affecting the event course, acts of God such as fire or flood or similar unforeseen circumstances) could cause substantial modification to, or even cancellation of, the event you are entering. In the event of a Race cancellation, there will be no refunds to participant or any reimbursement for event related expenses incurred by participants.

Prior to registering for an event, each participant must acknowledge being made aware of and accept the above policies.

ENTRY RULES

IS THERE A CUT OFF DATE TO ENTER A RACE?

Each Race will remain open for Registration/Entry until the maximum allotted entries is reached or the specified deadline is met.

MAY I ENTER ON RACE WEEKEND?

No race day entries will be accepted.

MAY I PUT MY NAME ON A WAITING LIST IF A RACE IS CLOSED?

There are no waiting lists.

MAY I USE THE ENTRY OF A FRIEND WHO CAN NO LONGER PARTICIPATE? 

No. Race entries are non-transferable. 

MAY I GET A REFUND IF I AM UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RACE?

There are NO REFUNDS

I SIGNED UP FOR THE WRONG ENTRY CATEGORY, WHAT CAN I DO?

Submit Change of Entry Category Request form within 14 days of Race date of Race entered. No fees will apply. Late requests cannot be honored. No Change of Entry Category will be made at Race Materials Pick Up.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO IF A MEMBER FROM OUR RELAY TEAM CANNOT RACE?

There are two options:

  • If there are three team members, one of the two remaining Relay Team members can complete the third segment of the Race.
  • You may find a replacement Team Member.
    • Replacement team member MUST send an email with the SUBJECT LINE: Triple Dog Dare Triathlon Relay Team Replacement to info@eventlabrp.com please include in the BODY of the email:
      Race Date
      Team Name
      Original Team Member
      Replacement Team Member
      Confirmation #, if applicable
    • Or Fax Completed Relay Team Member Replacement Form along with completed entry form to 505-830-0990.

All requests must be received no later than 14 days prior to race date.

HOW WILL I KNOW MY ONLINE ENTRY WAS RECEIVED?

You will receive an automated response confirming receipt of your online entry.

HOW WILL MY ONLINE ENTRY FEES BE APPLIED?

Online entry fee charges will appear in the name of "Event Lab" on your credit card statement. Fees will include entry fee, USA Triathlon one-day membership fee, if applicable, online processing fee and any additional online purchases.

HOW WILL I KNOW MY FAXED OR MAILED ENTRY FORM WAS RECEIVED?

You will NOT receive confirmation receipt of faxed or mailed entry.

HOW WILL MY MAILED OR FAXED ENTRY FEES BE APPLIED?

Mailed and Faxed entry fee charges will appear in the name of "RACE REGISTRATION" on your credit card statement
